As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen digital readiness and empower its employees with modern technological tools, the Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation concluded a specialized training program in data analysis using Power BI, with the participation of 30 male and female employees from various departments.
The program aimed to enhance participants’ data-handling and decision-making skills by training them to import, process, and prepare data, model and link tables professionally, and build interactive reports and dashboards that improve monitoring and evaluation efficiency across the institution.
The training covered comprehensive practical modules, including an introduction to data analysis fundamentals using Power BI, data importation from multiple sources (Excel, CSV, and text files), data transformation with Power Query, data modeling and relationship building, and finally, the design of visualizations, cards, texts, and tables to produce ready-to-share reports and dashboards.
At the closing ceremony, Mr. Mohammed Al-Farran, Chairman of Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation and Nama’a Academy, praised the participants’ engagement and discipline throughout the training stages. He emphasized that enhancing digital capabilities represents a key pillar in Nama’a’s strategy to strengthen institutional performance and drive digital transformation. He also announced the adoption of a training plan to make the Power BI program available to all employees in phases, given its importance in supporting digital transformation, improving report quality, and promoting data-driven decision-making.
For her part, Dr. Najwa No’man, the course instructor, commended the participants’ practical applications, noting their ability to translate theoretical concepts into actionable reports and dashboards that support financial and administrative performance improvement and accelerate decision-making processes.
