Plowing and seeding project

In order to support the national economy, achieve self-sufficiency, and promote the agricultural sector
Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation has sought to finance the farming and cultivation project in an Islamic contracting format that is Sharia-compliant.

This is aimed at assisting farmers in several districts of Al Hodiedah Governorate in plowing their lands. Prior to receiving financing, farmers faced financial constraints that prevented them from being able to plow their vast lands.

Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation, in collaboration with the Community Plowing Unit, worked to provide fuel for the plows at ideal reduced prices compared to market prices. Additionally, they sold crops to farmers at market prices during harvest time.

Thanks to Allah and the Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation, thousands of acres of land were plowed for farmers in five districts: Al Munirah, Al Qanawis, Al Lahiya, Bajil, and Az Zuhrah.

In Al Munirah District, there were 47 beneficiary farmers, plowing an area of 1,270 acres, equivalent to 5,390,000 square meters, within 1,270 hours.

In Al Qanawis District, there were 28 beneficiary farmers, plowing an area of 615 acres, equivalent to 2,706,000 square meters, within 335 hours.

In Al Lahiya District, there were 21 beneficiary farmers, plowing an area of 397 acres, equivalent to 1,746,800 square meters, within 380 hours.

In Bajil District, there were 33 beneficiary farmers, plowing an area of 1,196 acres, equivalent to 5,262,400 square meters, within 190 hours.

In Az Zuhrah District, there were 22 beneficiary farmers, plowing an area of 567 acres, equivalent to 2,494,800 square meters, within 320 hours.

This brings the total beneficiaries to 150 farmers, with a total of 3,500 hours of plowing and a total cultivated area of 4,000 acres, equivalent to 16,600,000 square meters
