We are honored to share the inspiring success story of Munjaddah, a determined Sudanese woman residing in Yemen. Munjaddah, along with her husband, had established a project that provided a decent income for their family of seven. However, the difficult circumstances prevailing in Yemen resulted in the loss of their job and primary source of livelihood.
Munjaddah and her family found themselves in a state of turmoil, facing immense challenges and uncertain prospects. Undeterred by adversity, Munjaddah embarked on a path of resilience and resourcefulness.
She ventured into producing incense and perfumes, selling them within her neighborhood. Additionally, Munjaddah honed her skills as a hairdresser, attending training courses that enabled her to excel in her craft.
Recognizing the potential of her talents, Munjaddah sought a loan from the refugee branch of Namaa Small and Microfinance Foundation. With this support, she expanded her project, offering home beauty sessions exclusively for women.
Day by day, Munjaddah's services and products gained increasing recognition, particularly during wedding seasons and holidays. This surge in demand contributed to a gradual improvement in her family's situation, bringing them closer to the stability they had known before the onset of war.
Munjaddah's aspirations soar even higher as she envisions opening a beauty club for women. This visionary space will house a laboratory dedicated to producing cosmetics that rival international brands, complementing her primary activity of conducting beauty sessions in clients' homes.
