Solar Energy Financing
The ownership of agricultural land and a fundamental livestock inventory provides numerous benefits, such as livelihood and self-sufficiency. However, when circumstances in life change and result in a gradual loss of property, individuals are forced to sell their land and a portion of their cattle. In such situations, it becomes crucial to identify a viable solution that can help preserve and expand the remaining assets or enable individuals to maintain their current situation rather than experiencing further loss. here is Taha Yahya, a farmer from Hodeida Governorate, possessed extensive land and livestock holdings. Unfortunately, due to frequent electricity cuts and the unavailability of functioning generators for farms reliant on irrigation for crop cultivation, Taha was forced to dispose of his livestock and sell his farms. Determined to overcome this challenge, he found Nama’a Small and Microfinance Foundation and approached the foundation to seek financial assistance. With the funds he obtained, Taha bought a solar energy system that facilitated the irrigation of his agricultural crops. As a result, he achieved remarkable success in producing substantial quantities of crops such as jasmine plant (Fowl), henna, and grains, which allowed him to expand his agricultural areas. Furthermore, through additional funding acquired from Nama'a, Taha successfully increased his livestock inventory. Taha attributes his achievements first and foremost to divine providence and expresses heartfelt gratitude for Nama’a Small and Microfinance Foundation.
