Earth's life
Earth's life.
No despair in life and no life with despair; the key to success is hope and pursuit.
Jarar Nasser, a Yemeni farmer from Al- Hodeidah Governorate, struggled with difficulty irrigating his crops and feeding his cattle due to his inability to provide diesel fuel permanently because of his poverty and the high cost of diesel. Therefore, he borrowed money from his friend to buy diesel, which resulted in his debt, and he received meager profits that were only enough to feed his cattle.
At this point, Jarar knew he needed a solution to eliminate the use of diesel and enable him to pay off his debt, so he searched and found Nama'a Small and Microfinance Foundation. He applied for funding, which helped him buy a solar system that made it easier for him to irrigate his crops by using irrigation networks located on his farm. As a result, he managed to harvest his crops and become self-sufficient. He started selling his products of sesame, corn, cotton, okra, and molkhia in the markets and helped those in need of his products.
As a result of his successful production, he was able to pay off his debt and eliminate the use of diesel permanently. His financial condition improved and enabled him to employ many unemployed people to work on his land at a constant wage, and that success enabled him to buy another piece of land in addition to several livestock.
He is currently considering submitting a new funding application to Nama'a Foundation to purchase a solar system for the new land.
