Completion of the 1st Entrepreneur Training Program – GYB & SYB
In coordination with the International Labour Organization (ILO), the Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation and Nama’a Academy successfully concluded the first training program for entrepreneurs, based on the ILO’s Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) methodology. The training included two key modules: “Generate Your Business Idea (GYB)” and “Start Your Business (SYB)”, targeting 25 aspiring entrepreneurs.
This program, part of a strategic partnership between Nama’a and the ILO, aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to transform their ideas into viable businesses. Topics covered included idea development, market research, marketing strategies, and drafting comprehensive business plans to support future financing.
A special focus was also placed on environmental sustainability, introducing participants to recycling practices and waste reduction methods to ensure eco-friendly business development.
The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Mohammed Al-Farran, Chairman of Nama’a Foundation and Nama’a Academy, who emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to delivering impactful, science-based training that addresses the real needs of entrepreneurs. He also extended his gratitude to trainers Tawfiq Al-Hakimi, Ali Al-Hirsh, Louiza Al-Aslami, and Zahra Al-Adhimi for their outstanding efforts and valuable contributions.
The graduation event was filled with energy and ambition, reflecting the strong engagement of participants and the depth of knowledge they gained. Certificates were awarded, and Nama’a Training Center reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to empowering youth and enhancing the startup ecosystem as a driver of local economic development.
