Nama’a Foundation and Nama’a Academy for Microfinance successfully concluded the 3rd training program on 'Risk Management' for 14 employees of the organization. In Sana'a, Nama’a Foundation for Small and microfinance and Nama’a Academy for Microfinance completed a five-day training course on 'Risk Management' for 14 employees of the organization. The course consisted of three hours of training per day. The objective of the training program was to equip the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to assess and analyze risks and manage risk records. The participants in this course were introduced to fundamental concepts of risk management, types of operational risks, types of financial risks, ISO 31000 standards, risk management processes, risk analysis and evaluation, risk management strategies, and finally, risk management plans. The 'Risk Management' course is considered one of the important courses offered by the foundation and academy to its employees, as it is one of the crucial processes undertaken by management to prevent any obstacles that may hinder the achievement of its objectives. It helps in the continuous assessment of threats that the organization may face and assists employees in taking appropriate measures to minimize and avoid expected problems and challenges. During the course, the participants also applied various models related to risk management records. During the closing ceremony, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Faran, the President of Nama’a Foundation for Small and Microfinance and the President of Nama’a Academy for Microfinance, spoke about the importance of the course within the foundation's focus on equipping and training its staff in various administrative and developmental fields. Mr. Omar Al-Qasais, the trainer, highlighted the significance of this course for employees in all institutions, especially microfinance institutions, as they are more susceptible to risks. Effective risk management enhances the performance of the institution and reduces the likelihood of it facing any threats.
