Nama’a Foundation Concludes Its 2nd Annual Leadership Meeting

Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation concluded its 2nd Annual Leadership Meeting for regional and branch managers and their deputies, held in Sana’a under the theme “Towards Sustainability, Innovation, Enhanced Performance, and Community Development.” The event was attended by the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director and his Deputy, and department heads from the General Administration.

The meeting aimed to strengthen and improve the operational and executive performance framework, featuring active discussions among attendees on the institution’s overall performance and the achievements accomplished during the past period. Participants also developed strategic visions and future plans to enhance the quality of development and financial services provided to target communities.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Khaled Jaadan, Executive Director of the Foundation, emphasized that the meeting represents an important milestone in documenting the outcomes of ongoing institutional efforts and fostering integration between the General Administration and branches. He affirmed the Foundation’s continued adoption of innovation and sustainable development paths for its programs and products, with a focus on utilizing modern technologies to enhance operational efficiency and expand sustainable development impact.

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Al-Farran, Chairman of the Foundation, highlighted the importance of the meeting in shaping the institution’s future direction—particularly by strengthening its presence in the local market through the development of pure Islamic finance products, the introduction of new products, and the expansion of local and international partnerships. He also emphasized the need to intensify media and marketing efforts to promote new products, enhance competitiveness, and reflect customer trust.

The meeting reviewed several key strategic agreements recently signed by the Foundation that mark turning points in supporting productive projects, including:

  • An exclusive agency agreement with Preet (India) to import advanced agricultural tractors of various sizes to enhance farmers’ productivity and support the agricultural sector across Yemen.

  • An agency agreement with GELGOOG (China) to import integrated food production lines for the manufacturing and packaging of ketchup, sauces, and juices using eco-friendly technologies that add value to agricultural products and reduce the massive post-harvest losses that harm both farmers and the national economy.

  • An agency agreement with GP Solar to import modern solar energy systems featuring PERC and TOPCon technologies, providing sustainable and efficient energy solutions across sectors.

  • An exclusive agency agreement with Skytimes, owner of the TOGO Power brand, to supply portable power stations and smart solar generators meeting the needs of areas with limited access to electricity.

The meeting also included in-depth discussions on activation mechanisms for each product and agreement at the marketing, distribution, and financing levels. Technical teams, in coordination with regional and branch managers, were assigned to prepare implementation plans tailored to local contexts to ensure tangible developmental results.

Updates on administrative and field performance were reviewed as well, along with discussions on the Foundation’s geographic expansion plans, including the opening of new branches in Aden and Lahj, in line with its national expansion vision to improve access to development and microfinance services.

The meeting concluded with a presentation of key outcomes and recommendations, followed by an appreciation ceremony honoring participants with certificates in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and optimism. Attendees affirmed that such meetings serve as strategic platforms for consolidating the Foundation’s future developmental vision and reinforcing its commitment to the communities it serves.
