"International Labour Organization Delegation Visits Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation"
In a bid to assess ongoing programs and initiatives aimed at bolstering development in Yemen, a delegation from the International Labour Organization, led by Program Coordinator Mr. Ali Ali Dahag and Joint Program Coordinator for Rural Resilience Support, Mr. Tawfiq Jaber, recently visited the Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation.
Upon arrival, they were warmly greeted by Mr. Wazaa Saadan, a board member of the foundation, and Dr. Khaled Jaadan, the Executive Director.
The purpose of the visit was to explore avenues for strengthening collaboration between the two entities in areas such as training, capacity building, food security, entrepreneurship project expansion, financial literacy, livelihood improvement, and the identification of potential joint projects for future implementation.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on a range of projects and activities undertaken by the Nama’a Foundation, with a particular focus on supporting vulnerable groups including youth, women, and entrepreneurs.
Special attention was given to the foundation's role in providing financial assistance for small and medium-sized projects, contributing significantly to job creation and the enhancement of living standards.
Expressing gratitude for the visit, the board member and Executive Director of Nama’a Foundation highlighted the foundation's dedication to fostering cooperation in the realm of development and stressed the crucial role of international partners in supporting the foundation's developmental objectives.
In addition, Mr. Ali Ali Dahag, the Program Coordinator at the International Labour Organization, commended the Nama’a Foundation's efforts in promoting sustainable development and emphasized the importance of collaborative partnerships between the public sector, private sector, and civil society in achieving sustainable development goals.
