Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation celebrates the graduation of (22) refugee students in the field of digital photography and television.
Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation celebrated the graduation of (22) refugee students from the Digital Photography and Television course. The course was funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and supervised by the National Committee for Refugees. It took place from September 25, 2023, to July 29, 2023, at YAS Media Institute for Production and Media Training, spanning a total of 42 days and 84 training hours.
This training course is part of the short-term professional training programs implemented by Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation for in 2023, funded by UNHCR and under the supervision of the National Committee for Refugees. The aim of the course was to equip refugees with skills and capabilities in the field of photography and television, enabling them to find employment opportunities that improve their livelihoods and promote self-reliance.
During the event, speeches were delivered by the management of Namaa Foundation, the management of YAS Media Institute, the course trainer, and the graduates. All speeches emphasized the importance of this training course as a response to the needs of the job market. They also praised the role of UNHCR and relevant organizations in caring for refugees.
Furthermore, the projects of the graduates were showcased, consisting of artistic photographs and television clips that demonstrated high quality, reflecting the significant benefit gained by the participants from this course.
The event concluded with the graduates being honored with participation certificates.
