Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation celebrated the graduation of 15 refugee men and women in the field of television editing. This course is considered an advanced course implemented for trainees who graduated from a previous course in digital photography to enhance their skills in photography and television editing.
Today, Sunday, 14 Rabi' al-Thani 1445, October 29, 2023, Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation honored 15 refugee male and female who graduated from the training course in television editing. The course was held from July 26 to October 3, 2023, at the Consultation and Development Center at the University of Science and Technology, spanning a total of 45 days and 90 hours.
In his speech, the chairman of Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation and the Project Manager of the Refugee Livelihood Improvement Project, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Faran, emphasized that this course is part of the training programs implemented by the Refugee Livelihood Improvement Project, funded by the UNHCR and supervised by the National Committee for Refugees Affairs in 2023. The aim is to equip refugees, both male and female, with skills and capabilities in various professional fields that enable them to improve their livelihoods and become self-reliant. He wished the graduates to benefit from the skills and knowledge they acquired during the course for their own benefit and development.
Al-Faran also expressed gratitude to the UNHCR and the National Committee for Refugees Affairs for their continuous support and care for refugees. He also thanked all relevant government entities that facilitate and overcome obstacles to serve refugees in Yemen, as well as their training and qualification.
On the other hand, Mr. Jamal Mohammed Qasim Zaid, the Director of Centers at the University of Science and Technology, praised the importance of this course and its positive impact in equipping participants with skills that will contribute to their integration into the job market, especially since the field of editing has demand in the job market. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the training course.
It is worth mentioning that this course is considered an advanced course implemented for trainees who graduated from a previous course in digital photography to enhance their skills in photography and television editing.
During the event, the graduates delivered speeches in which they praised the role of the UNHCR and Namaa Foundation in caring for refugees.
The projects of the graduates, which were television works produced by the graduates themselves, were also showcased and well-received by the attendees.
Finally, the event concluded with the honoring of the graduates with participation certificates.
