ESCWA and Nama’a Celebrate the Conclusion of the “1” Training Program on Small Business Management
With support from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation, in collaboration with the Nama’a Academy for Microfinance, concluded the first edition of its Small Business Management training program, empowering 25 aspiring entrepreneurs.
This initiative reflects a successful partnership between ESCWA and Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation, aimed at equipping participants with essential skills for effectively managing and growing their businesses. The training program emphasized innovation and self-driven project development as vital tools for achieving sustainable economic and social development.
Participants gained in-depth knowledge on project planning, from crafting business goals and vision statements to identifying effective implementation strategies. The program also included interactive workshops on financial planning, risk assessment, and modern marketing techniques.
Mr. Tawfiq Al-Hakimi, Deputy Executive Director of Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation, praised the enthusiasm and active engagement of the trainees. He reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into successful ventures. Al-Hakimi also highlighted the promising potential of many of the participants’ projects and stressed the importance of leveraging ongoing technical support and free online training courses offered by the Nama’a Academy.
These include digital courses in small and micro-enterprise development, computer skills, English language, graphic design, and advanced Excel, delivered through Nama’a’s training center to strengthen knowledge and foster a culture of entrepreneurship.
Trainer Ibtisam Al-Muhammadi also commended the high level of dedication and discipline shown by the participants. She noted that the program went beyond theoretical learning, offering a platform for participants to develop creative solutions and address real-life challenges. Project ideas presented ranged from e-commerce and pastry production to digital art and design, reflecting the diversity and ambition of the cohort.
The program concluded with a certificate ceremony, celebrating the trainees' achievements in an atmosphere of pride and joy.
