Namaa Small and Microfinance Foundation honors graduates of a specialized training course in Television Editing for refugees.
In a remarkable event held on Sunday, January 1, 2023, Namaa Small and Microfinance Foundation, through its Livelihoods Improvement Project for Refugees, funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and supervised by National Committee for Refugee Affairs, recognized the achievements of 15 refugee graduates who completed a comprehensive training program in Television Editing. The training took place at YAS Media Institute for Production and Media Training over a period of 45 days, totaling 90 hours, from October 9 to December 4, 2022.
Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Faran, Deputy Chairman of Namaa Small and Microfinance Foundation and Director of the Livelihoods Improvement Project for Refugees, emphasized during the recognition ceremony that this course is part of the comprehensive training initiatives implemented by the project. These initiatives aim to equip refugees, both men and women, with skills and capabilities in various professional fields, empowering them to improve their livelihoods and become self-reliant.
Al-Faran extended his wishes for the graduates to make the most of the skills and knowledge they acquired during the course, benefiting themselves and others. He encouraged all refugees to prioritize training and capacity building, as it enhances their opportunities for employment and self-sufficiency, reducing their reliance on aid.
Al-Faran expressed gratitude to the UNHCR and the National Committee for Refugee Affairs for their continuous support and care for refugees. He also thanked all relevant government entities that facilitate and overcome obstacles to serve refugees in Yemen, emphasizing their dedication to training, educating, and empowering them.
On another note, Mr. Karim Zarei, Director of YAS Media Institute for Production and Media Training, highlighted the significance of this course and its positive impact on equipping participants with skills that are in demand in the job market. He acknowledged that Television Editing is a field with excellent prospects for employment.

It is worth mentioning that this course was an advanced level training specifically designed for participants who had previously completed a course in Digital Photography. The aim was to enhance their skills in both photography and television editing.
