Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation celebrates the graduation of 45 refugee women in the fields of pastry and sewing.
Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation, through the Livelihood Improvement Project for Refugees funded by the UN Refugee Agency and supervised by the National Committee for Refugees, honored 45 refugee women who graduated from the pastry and sewing courses. The courses were held from August 1st to October 16th, 2023, at the Women's Technical Institute for Rehabilitation and Training, spanning a total of 53 days and 160 hours of training for each course.
These courses are part of the professional training programs implemented by the Livelihood Improvement Project for Refugees, funded by the UN Refugee Agency and supervised by the National Committee for Refugees in 2023. The aim is to equip refugees with skills and capabilities in various professional fields, enabling them to improve their livelihoods and become self-reliant.
During the event, speeches were delivered by the management of Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation, the Women's Technical Institute for Rehabilitation and Training, and the graduates. They all emphasized the importance of training and capacity building, and praised the role of the UN Refugee Agency and relevant organizations in supporting refugees.
Furthermore, an exhibition showcasing the products of the sewing course graduates was inaugurated, as well as an exhibition featuring the products of the pastry course graduates. Both exhibitions received admiration and praise from the attendees
