Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation Welcomes UNIDO Coordinator for Collaborative Discussions

Sanaa, Monday, July 22, 2024 — Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation extended a warm welcome to Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Khawlani, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Coordinator in Yemen. Upon his arrival, he was greeted by members of the foundation's board of directors, including Mr. Wazir Saadan, Mr. Adel Hajjar, Mr. Mohammed Al-Dhaifani, and the foundation's Executive Director, Dr. Khaled Jaadan.
The visit aimed to foster collaboration between the organization and the foundation to bolster support for entrepreneurs and enhance sustainable economic development in Yemen. During the discussions, the UNIDO coordinator familiarized himself with Nama’a Foundation’s programs and services especially for entrepreneurs, engaging in dialogues about the challenges encountered by small and medium-sized enterprises.
Expressing UNIDO's eagerness to establish a partnership, the coordinator highlighted the organization's commitment to supporting and incentivizing industrial projects. He emphasized the pivotal role of microfinance in empowering entrepreneurs and generating employment opportunities, especially amidst Yemen's prevailing economic adversities.
In response, the board members and the Executive Director of Nama’a Foundation lauded the visit, recognizing the valuable contributions made by UNIDO in Yemen. They expressed their aspirations for a collaborative partnership between the foundation and UNIDO to further amplify their impact and initiatives in the region
