Nama’a Foundation and Academy Conclude Yemen’s First Diploma in Microfinance

The Nama’a Development and Microfinance Foundation, in partnership with Nama’a Academy, has officially concluded the country’s first-ever Diploma Program in Microfinance, graduating 14 participants.

The diploma included six comprehensive training modules, covering:
* Microfinance Fundamentals
* Delinquency Management
* Risk Management
* Feasibility Studies
* Islamic Finance
* Rural Finance

The program was designed to build participants’ technical and practical skills, preparing them to excel in microfinance institutions. Training was delivered by leading experts: Ziyad Al-Subari, Omar Al-Qusayis, and Ali Al-Mutawakkil, who enriched the sessions with real-life cases and applied learning.

Mr. Mohammed Al-Farran, Chairman of Nama’a Foundation and Nama’a Academy, praised the trainees’ commitment, noting that the Academy is committed to building national talent capable of advancing Yemen’s microfinance sector through best practices and hands-on training.

He emphasized that this diploma reflects Nama’a Academy’s strategic focus on spreading microfinance awareness, expanding access to economic opportunities, and continuing to provide free, high-quality training programs in community development. He also highlighted the Academy’s free e-learning platform, offering courses in small enterprise development, administrative skills, ICDL, graphic design, advanced Excel, and English.

The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Tawfiq Al-Hakimi, Deputy Executive Director of Nama’a Foundation. Participants received official certificates accredited by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training.

All Nama’a programs are offered free of charge, reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to inclusive development and community empowerment.
