Namaa Small & Microfinance Foundation and Namaa Academy for Microfinance concluded the training program "Preparing and Writing Project Proposals" on Thursday, 22nd Safar 1445 AH, September 7, 2023.
The objective of the training program was to equip 13 male and female employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare development project proposals for donors, following the methodology of international organizations. The program, which spanned six days with four hours of training per day, covered various relevant topics. Participants were introduced to different types of development projects, how to analyze community needs, methods for selecting project ideas, sustainable development goals, formulating project justifications, project implementation plans, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, project sustainability plans, funding sources, project budgeting, risk management, logical framework approach, and finally, how to secure funding.
This program is part of a series of training programs related to development projects, focusing on their management, preparation of proposals for donors, and report writing. These proposals serve as powerful tools in transforming community problems and needs into project ideas that help local and international donors understand the issues and required interventions.
At the end of the training course, the head manager of the foundation, Mohammed Ali Al-Faran, emphasized the importance of the program as part of the foundation's commitment to the development and training of its staff in various administrative and developmental fields. Al-Faran commended the participants for their interest and engagement in the training program, thanking them for their efforts in preparing project proposals that reflect their benefit from the course. He expressed his wishes for them to benefit from the course topics and contribute to the development of their knowledge and skills.
The program trainer, Mr. Omar Al-Qusais, highlighted the importance of the program, which is part of a series of training programs related to development projects and their proposals. Al-Qusais mentioned that the training program was highly practical, as participants became capable of preparing project proposals with all their contents and components, which was evident in the graduation projects they prepared.
