Nama'a Development and Microfinance Foundation " Concludes Participation in the 16th Conference of the Arab Network for Microfinance (SANABEL) 2024

Under the patronage of the Central Bank of Jordan and under the theme "Global Trends and Their Impact on the Regional Development of the Microfinance Sector," Nama'a Development and Microfinance Foundation participated in the 16th conference organized by the Arab Network for Microfinance (SANABEL) at the Dead Sea, Jordan, from May 15 to 14, 2024.
The delegation from Nama'a Foundation, led by the foundation's President, Mr. Mohammed Al-farran, and accompanied by Mr. Wazee Saadan, a member of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Hashid Al-Jabri, Director of Human Resources Management, and Mr. Mohammed Sheikh, Director of Project Management, actively engaged in discussions and shared perspectives on the challenges and opportunities presented by global trends, as well as the assessment of foundations' readiness to confront their impact.
Furthermore, the foundation's representatives participated in the General Assembly meeting of the Arab Network for Microfinance (SANABEL) as part of the conference proceedings.
Moreover, Nama'a Development and Microfinance Foundation actively participated in two training workshops held during the conference. The first workshop focused on sustainable agriculture, exploring both opportunities and challenges, while the second workshop addressed climate change for microfinance foundations.
On the sidelines of the conference, the foundation's leadership conducted an exploratory visit, in collaboration with a group of Arab microfinance institutions and banks, to the Central Bank of Jordan and the Women's Development Fund.
The leadership of the Central Bank of Jordan and the Women's Development Fund expressed their delight at the visit of the Arab delegation and their full readiness to share the Jordanian experience with all banks and foundations, aiming to benefit from it for the enhancement of foundational work in these countries.
The conference witnessed the presence of over 270 representatives from microfinance foundations, banks, financial technology companies, international and regional monetary funds, and United Nations organizations.
